Fatal Vision Goggles

Fatal VisionAlcohol and other drugs have an effect on the brain that results in a variety of impairments.  The Fatal Vision® Goggles distort vision and cause behaviors that are similar to behaviors exhibited by someone under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.

The Ida County Sheriff’s Office uses fatal vision goggles in presentations to demonstrate the effects of alcohol and drug impairment. The goggles mimic the effects that coincide with alcohol and drug usage and how it affects a person’s ability to perform basic tasks.

In the past, the Sheriff's Office has given presentations to local high schools as well as to other community groups in the area. If you are interested in having a demonstration presented at your school or to your group, please contact us today!

To schedule a presentation contact Sheriff Wade Heriman at the Ida County Courthouse (712) 634-3146.
